  • E: M252 Two button ignition key type fob (16 digit code only)
  • F: M462 Two button self coding fob for M999T alarm system only (not for M99T)
  • G: RK36S Touchkey for the M33/36 range of immobilisers (working touchkey required for coding)

Remote fobs for Meta alarm systems are available in three different formats, 8 digit fixed code, 16 digit hexadecimal encryption coded and self coding randomly encrypted remotes.

All Meta alarms are supplied with a code printed on a red or blue codecard, these codes cannot be found elsewhere unless hand written on a receipt or certificate by the supplying dealer/fitter etc. If the code is lost or missing it will not be possible to program a new fob. However we can re-code the M870, M8700, M2087, M996, M928, M99T, M99T2 and HPA range of alarms systems with two new fobs and a new codecard for future programming. Only the alarms mentioned above can be re-coded.

Types of Remotes

8 digit coded fobs:
Early Meta alarm systems use the 8 digit fixed code system. The code either starts or ends with the letters TC1B, I.E. TC1B-12345678 or 12345678-TC1B. Fobs using this code will work immediately with the alarm system and require no further programming. This code is only supplied By Meta on either a red or blue (if a Fiat part) code card and cannot be found elsewhere. However the code may also be hand written on a receipt or certificate by the supplying dealer/previous owner etc.

16 digit coded fobs:
The later Meta alarm systems require a 16 digit hexadecimal allocation code (numbers mixed with letters, A to F, e.g.: E607B8496E2BF240) which must be preprogrammed by a supplying dealer, this fob will not yet work with the alarm but needs to be programmed by the owner using a working remote control (for instructions see below) without which it will not be possible, up to 7 fobs can be programmed into the system. For all Meta car alarms (except M999T) and the 351 range of bike alarms a working fob is required, without which it will not be possible to code in.

The asterix next to each number represent how many remotes are programmed into the alarm (up to 7)

For M357 range of bike alarms a 5 digit pin number (company code) is required for coding in new fobs, without which it will not be possible.
