GEMEL SERPI STAR

SERPI STAR GEMEL REMOTES

We can only supply SELF CODING two button remotes like the one pictured above for Gemel Serpi Star Alarms

In addition to a new self coding remote you will require either an override key, touchkey or an emergency code number to program it into the main alarm brain, without any of these it will not be possible to code in a new remote. This remote will also work with the Meta M999T (five digit override code required)

Some of the ND range of alarms require the on/off key for programming new remotes, Click here if the on/off keys are not available.

How to determine what type of remote you have.....

If you are not sure whether your remote control is self coding (random encrypted) or fixed code type carry out he following procedure:

Press both buttons simultaneously and hold, the LED should flash quickly, after 10 seconds the LED light goes out, release both buttons, the LED will now stay on constantly, press and release any button and the LED will go out.

If your remote does not do the above than you have the fixed code variety, this remote control is no longer available.

If you have the old oblong unit with a corner cut out of it we are no longer able to supply this product (note that later versions of the oblong remote are self coding and the above remote can be programmed into your alarm system).

Self learning procedures

(5 digit pin code required for GR99, touchkey required for GR 470/480, on/off keys required for ND5, ND6 & ND14

Note If you do not have the touch keys it will be impossible to program a new remote into the system.

  1. Open the drivers door and keep it open Turn on the ignition and leave it on.
  2. Turn the emergency override key on the alarm to the OFF position wait a few seconds then back ON -Entry into the self learning mode will be signaled by 3 beeps on the siren.
  3. For alarms systems equipped with touch key override keys, insert the first key in the receptacle on the dash and keep it there until the beeps on the siren are heard, remove the touch key as you are now in self learning mode.
  4. Once in programming mode, make sure you are very close to the vehicle, take the first transmitter and press both buttons at the same time, the LED on the remote will flash quickly, keep pressing both buttons until the LED stops flashing (at least 10 seconds). Once LED is extinguished stop pressing the buttons the LED on the remote will stay on, press and release either button on the remote, you should now hear a beep from the alarm. The remote is now programmed into the alarm. All old remotes will now be removed from the alarms memory so you will have to repeat the above procedure for all the other remotes in your possession, also touch all the touch keys onto the receptacle to program them in.
  5. To exit the self learning procedure turn off the ignition key.
